The youth are the foundation of the country of tomorrow, they are trained to protect the heritage as well as enrich it; should the endeavor be successful, the success is attributed to their parents, which is passed on for generations.
Having an empowered youth means having an empowered country and a better future. Life naturally changes; this imposes human being to be creative accordingly. One of our main responsibilities should be preparing the future even where we will not be in it.
We believe that such kind of mindset may be a great strategy to live well with strong values and pride ourselves until we are called ancestors. We, talking now have ancestors that did heroic deeds that inspired our journey to attain big goals. We need to learn properly what they have done, protect it, build on it and create new things. There is time what they built was destroyed for the profit of those who destroyed it. It has been a bad time of covered light, today is our time to cast out the darkness and shine. We’re called to help each other by being strengthened mentally, socially and economically.

Aligning youth’s capabilities with available market opportunities.
The labor market in Rwanda has a very competitive nature, its structure often changes within a short period of time due to the expansion and continued growth of the economy. The government and its partners in the country’s vision to combat poverty, especially the youth job creation program, have done a lot that provides opportunities that bring results. On the other hand, we have young people who have the ability to perform well on the labor market, they grew from different levels of school, others possess the general knowledge from all walks of life they lived in, and especially the availability of opportunities availed to them with the help of technology.
However, there is a clear gap in the relationship between the abilities that young people possess versus the opportunities we find in the labor market; it is mainly due to the lack of preparation of young people before they make the choice of what they will study in relation to the times and the work structure around the world.
HH facilitate the understanding of the reality for making better choices and introduce the professionalism of candidates on job market.
Up-scaling merit based employability skills
Rapid changes in the nature of the world economy require us to have the ability to think quickly that can keep up with those changes. Many challenges arise that require us to work hard and constantly innovate.
In Rwanda, where the economy is growing at a higher rate than other countries in the region; there are opportunities created for domestic investment as well as open doors for foreign investment. Young people are required to stand well in terms of knowledge and behavior that will improve their ability to take them to a wider and more diverse professional market.
The fact that young people may assess themselves and conclude that they are not at the best level in terms of competition, that should not be a burden nor a limit, it instead shall serve as a good reason to learn new things and work hard to improve their abilities. There are no other options.
HH deals with the issue of insufficient capacity in terms of employment. Projects and programs are being prepared to help young people gain merits on the labor market.
Achieving an active youth’s involvement in environmental protection policy and population control literacy
The environment belongs to all of us; taking care of it is not an option but a responsibility. It does not apply to a certain age group; it is for everyone because the consequences of not doing so will be shared equally. There are strategies that are established based on scientific approaches, thus, we are asked to implement them and encourage others. Understanding the importance of protecting the environment is the first step we are required to do in order to effectively implement the measures taken.
Young people are the most important part of this fight, provided that they have a long life expectancy, in addition, they also make up the majority of the population and are deemed the leaders of tomorrow. Although their role is not very visible, nevertheless, by protecting the environment together they have the opportunity to invest ideas that will generate work.
HH is committed to increasing the engagement of youth in environmental protection, by showing them on how to invest in ideas and activities that do not require large capital.
